The SanDisk Optimus GX 7100 500GB NVMe SSD is designed for gamers and performance-focused PC users who want fast PCIe 4.0 storage in a compact M.2 format. The 500GB SDSP71500GAN-000E0 model delivers sequential read speeds of up to 6,800MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 5,800MB/s through its PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 interface. This provides significantly faster data throughput than SATA-based storage and makes it well suited to fast game loading, application launches and large file transfers.

Random performance reaches up to 760K IOPS for reads and 1.2 million IOPS for writes, helping the system remain responsive when accessing large numbers of smaller files or handling demanding multitasking workloads. The Optimus GX 7100 uses 8th-generation SanDisk BiCS TLC 3D CBA NAND. The GX 7100 uses the widely supported M.2 2280 S3-M form factor and measures only 80 × 22 × 2.38mm. At approximately 5.8g, it adds virtually no meaningful weight to a desktop or notebook while providing 500GB of high-speed solid-state storage.
