The HP ZBook 8 G1i combines professional workstation capabilities with excellent mobility, making it ideal for engineers, designers, creators, developers and business professionals who need serious computing performance while travelling or working between locations. HP positions the ZBook 8 as a highly mobile workstation capable of reviewing 3D designs, working with AI tools in professional applications and handling multiple demanding projects simultaneously.

At its core is the powerful Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285H processor, featuring 16 cores, 24MB cache, a base frequency of 2.70GHz and boost speeds of up to 5.40GHz. The processor incorporates an Intel® AI Boost NPU delivering up to 13 TOPS, providing dedicated hardware acceleration for supported AI workloads and allowing compatible applications to distribute tasks efficiently across the CPU, GPU and NPU.

Professional graphics performance is provided by the NVIDIA RTX 500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU with 4GB dedicated graphics memory. This professional NVIDIA GPU provides dedicated acceleration for CAD, design, 3D visualisation, content creation and compatible GPU-accelerated professional applications. The system also incorporates Intel® Arc™ 140T Graphics for integrated graphics workloads and improved efficiency.

The CG0H2ET is equipped with 32GB DDR5-5600 memory in a 1 × 32GB configuration, providing excellent capacity for professional multitasking, larger datasets and demanding applications. The single-DIMM configuration also provides a practical upgrade path should additional memory capacity be required in future.

Storage is provided by a 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, delivering fast boot times, responsive application loading and ample capacity for professional software, project files and business data. HP highlights its high-speed PCIe storage as offering substantially faster performance than traditional SATA SSD and mechanical hard drive storage.

The 16-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) display features a productivity-focused 16:10 aspect ratio, anti-glare treatment, low-power technology, 300 nits brightness and 62.5% sRGB colour coverage. The larger 16-inch workspace is particularly useful for CAD applications, spreadsheets, development environments, timelines and professional multitasking while retaining good overall portability.

Connectivity is comprehensive for a mobile workstation. The CG0H2ET provides two Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C 40Gbps ports with USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort™ 2.1, an additional USB-C 20Gbps port with DisplayPort™ 1.4, USB-A 5Gbps, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet and a combination headphone/microphone connection. Wi-Fi 7 provides fast wireless connectivity in compatible network environments.

For professional collaboration and security, the ZBook 8 G1i features a 5MP IR camera, fingerprint reader and HP’s advanced business security technologies. HP Sure Start provides self-healing BIOS protection, while the HP Premium backlit spill-resistant keyboard incorporates drainage to help protect against minor accidental spills. This specific CG0H2ET configuration does not include a Smart Card reader or mobile broadband module.

Mobility remains one of the ZBook 8 G1i’s major advantages. Finished in professional Meteor Silver and starting at only 1.76kg, it provides dedicated NVIDIA professional graphics and Core Ultra 9 performance in a chassis suitable for frequent travel. HP Fast Charge can recharge the battery from zero to approximately 50% in 30 minutes under supported conditions.
