This variant is equipped with Gateron Low-Profile 2.0 Red mechanical switches, offering a smooth linear keystroke with no tactile bump, making them ideal for fast typing and competitive gaming. The switches are factory pre-lubricated for a smoother typing experience, while the hot-swappable PCB allows compatible Gateron Low-Profile MX switches to be replaced without soldering, giving users the flexibility to customise their keyboard over time.

The K1 Max supports three connection methods to suit every setup. Ultra-fast 2.4GHz wireless delivers a responsive 1000Hz polling rate for gaming, Bluetooth 5.1 allows pairing with up to three devices simultaneously, and the detachable USB Type-C cable provides reliable wired operation whenever required. Powered by open-source QMK firmware and VIA compatibility, every key can be remapped while creating advanced macros, shortcuts, and custom layers.
