The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IWC11 is designed to deliver responsive everyday computing in a slim and portable 15.3-inch package. The 83RR00J0SA configuration combines Intel’s Series 3 Core architecture with dedicated AI processing, upgradeable DDR5 memory and fast PCIe NVMe storage, making it well suited to students, home users and general office productivity.

At its core is the Intel® Core™ 5 320 processor, featuring 6 cores and 6 threads in a hybrid configuration of 2 Performance cores and 4 Low Power Efficient cores. With speeds reaching up to 4.60GHz and 6MB Intel® Smart Cache, it provides responsive performance for web browsing, Microsoft Office, video conferencing, streaming and everyday multitasking.

The processor also incorporates an Intel® AI Boost NPU delivering up to 16 TOPS of dedicated AI processing. This makes the IdeaPad Slim 3 an AI PC, allowing supported AI workloads to make use of dedicated neural processing rather than relying exclusively on the CPU or integrated graphics. It should be noted that this is an AI PC rather than a Copilot+ PC, as the NPU does not meet the 40-TOPS Copilot+ requirement.

Integrated Intel® Graphics handles everyday visual workloads, HD video streaming, multimedia, productivity applications and light creative work without the additional power consumption of a discrete GPU.

This configuration includes 8GB DDR5-5600 memory installed as a single 8GB SO-DIMM. Importantly, the memory is upgradeable, with Lenovo supporting configurations up to 32GB DDR5-5600, giving users the option to substantially increase memory capacity later if their workload grows.

Storage is provided by a 512GB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD, providing fast Windows startup, application loading and file access. The notebook features one M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot and supports SSD capacities of up to 1TB.

The spacious 15.3-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) IPS display offers a productivity-friendly 16:10 workspace with 400-nit brightness, anti-glare coating, 45% NTSC colour coverage and a 60Hz refresh rate. The taller WUXGA resolution provides additional vertical workspace compared with a traditional 1920 × 1080 display, making it useful for documents, spreadsheets and web browsing.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax 2×2) and Bluetooth® 5.3. Physical connectivity includes two USB-A 5Gbps ports, a USB-C 5Gbps port supporting USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, an SD card reader and a 3.5mm combination audio jack. There is no onboard Ethernet port or mobile broadband support.

For video calls, the IdeaPad Slim 3 includes an HD 720p webcam with a physical privacy shutter, dual-array microphones and stereo 2W × 2 speakers optimised with Dolby Audio™. Firmware TPM 2.0 provides hardware-backed security, although this particular configuration does not include a fingerprint reader or smart card reader.

The notebook features a Luna Grey chassis with an aluminium top cover and PC-ABS bottom. At approximately 1.59kg and only 16.9–17.9mm thick, it remains relatively portable despite its larger 15.3-inch display. Lenovo also lists the platform as having passed MIL-STD-810H testing.

This South African configuration additionally includes a Lenovo WL310 Bluetooth Silent Mouse and Lenovo 16-inch ECO Backpack B210, adding useful accessories straight out of the box.
