The Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 3 combines Intel’s efficient Lunar Lake Core Ultra architecture with the durability, security and productivity features expected from the ThinkPad family. Designed for business professionals, hybrid workers and demanding productivity environments, the 22AY002LZA offers a large 16-inch workspace while maintaining a starting weight of approximately 1.61kg.

At its core is the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 256V processor, featuring 8 cores and 8 threads with 4 Performance cores and 4 Low Power Efficient cores. It reaches speeds of up to 4.80GHz and includes 12MB Intel® Smart Cache, providing responsive performance for multitasking, large spreadsheets, business applications, web-based workloads and professional productivity software.

Dedicated AI processing is handled by the Intel® AI Boost NPU, delivering up to 47 TOPS of NPU performance. This enables the ThinkPad E16 Gen 3 to qualify as a Microsoft Copilot+ PC, providing hardware acceleration for supported AI-powered Windows features and applications.

Graphics performance comes from integrated Intel® Arc™ Graphics 140V, offering a significant step up from conventional entry-level integrated graphics. It provides hardware acceleration for multimedia, presentations, creative applications, video playback and supported GPU-accelerated workloads.

The system includes 16GB LPDDR5X-8533 memory operating in dual-channel mode. The memory is soldered directly to the motherboard and is not upgradeable, making the installed 16GB the maximum memory capacity for this particular configuration. Storage is provided by a spacious 1TB M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe Opal 2.0 SSD.

The 16-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) IPS display provides a productivity-friendly 16:10 workspace with 300-nit brightness, 45% NTSC colour coverage, a 60Hz refresh rate and an anti-glare finish. The taller 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical workspace for documents, spreadsheets and browser applications compared with traditional 16:9 displays.

Connectivity includes Intel Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth® 5.3 and integrated Gigabit Ethernet. The extensive physical connectivity includes two USB-A ports, two Thunderbolt™ 4 / USB4 40Gbps ports supporting USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort™ 2.1, HDMI® 2.1 and RJ-45 Ethernet, making the E16 well suited to docks, external monitors and professional peripherals.

For hybrid working and security, the notebook features a Full HD 1080p + IR hybrid camera with privacy shutter, enabling Windows Hello facial recognition. A Match-on-Chip fingerprint reader integrated into the power button provides another convenient biometric login option, while discrete TPM 2.0 helps protect credentials and encryption keys.

The full-size backlit ThinkPad keyboard includes a dedicated numeric keypad, making it particularly useful for accounting, spreadsheets and data-entry workloads.
