Unlike the factory Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM), the Contact & Sealing Frame distributes mounting pressure more evenly across the CPU’s integrated heat spreader. This helps ensure optimal contact between the processor and motherboard socket while promoting consistent cooler mounting pressure.

One of the frame’s standout features is its integrated silicone sealing insert. Positioned around the processor package, the insert acts as a protective barrier that prevents thermal paste—or liquid metal—from reaching the exposed SMD components surrounding the CPU. For liquid metal applications the sealing insert is essential, while it remains optional for conventional thermal compounds.

Manufactured from precision CNC-machined anodized aluminium, the frame combines exceptional rigidity with a premium finish. Installation is quick and straightforward using the supplied Torx and hex tools, replacement mounting screws and clear orientation markings.

To complete the package, Thermal Grizzly includes 1 gram of Aeronaut Thermal Paste, allowing you to install the frame immediately without purchasing additional thermal compound.
