The Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 13th/14th Gen is an upgraded mounting solution for Intel LGA1700 platforms, designed to improve CPU cooling performance by correcting the uneven pressure created by the factory Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM).

Developed in collaboration with renowned overclocker Roman “der8auer” Hartung, the latest Contact Frame features a redesigned inner contour that makes installation significantly easier than previous generations. Unlike earlier versions, there is no longer a requirement to apply a precise installation torque, making the installation process simpler and more user-friendly.

The standard Intel ILM applies pressure primarily to the centre of the processor, which can cause the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) to bow slightly. This reduces the contact area between the CPU and cooler. The Thermal Grizzly Contact Frame redistributes the mounting pressure toward the outer edges of the processor, allowing the CPU cooler to sit flatter against the heat spreader for improved thermal transfer and lower operating temperatures.
