The SanDisk Optimus 5100 4TB NVMe SSD is the highest-capacity model in the Optimus 5100 family, combining substantial storage space with fast PCIe 4.0 performance. Its compact M.2 2280 form factor makes it suitable for compatible laptops as well as desktop PCs requiring a large, high-speed primary or secondary storage drive.

Using a PCIe® 4.0 x4 NVMe™ interface, the 4TB Optimus 5100 delivers sequential read speeds of up to 6,900MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6,700MB/s. This provides the bandwidth required for demanding file transfers, application loading, game libraries and high-resolution creative workloads.

Random performance reaches up to 900K IOPS for reads and 1.1 million IOPS for writes, helping maintain system responsiveness during multitasking and workloads involving large numbers of smaller files.

SanDisk integrates its nCache™ 4.0 technology to support seamless application multitasking and fast file-copy performance. The Optimus 5100 family also uses 8th-generation SanDisk BiCS QLC 3D CBA NAND, allowing SanDisk to offer capacities ranging from 500GB all the way up to this substantial 4TB configuration.
